1 Corinthians: Chapter 1

v. 28-29

God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

Reflection:

The verse reminds us to remain humble, for whatever it is that we have attained in this world is nothing in the eyes of God. Thus, we should not be consumed in attaining such goals. We must free ourselves from worldly things, for it does not contribute in our quest to be one with our Lord Jesus Christ.
